Losing a mobile phone is stressful. When that phone is your usual way to access a casino account, acting quickly and in the right order can contain the risk to your balance, linked payment methods and personal data.
This guide covers containment steps that work from any device; it does not promise that a particular operator, app or support team will respond within a set time or follow one universal recovery process.
Step 1 — Protect the phone and the SIM first
Contact your mobile network immediately to block the SIM. In Nigeria this usually means calling your network provider's customer care, visiting a verified service centre or using the official self-service app if you still have access.
A blocked SIM stops anyone who finds the phone from receiving one-time passwords (OTPs), banking alerts or casino withdrawal verification codes sent to your number.
If you are using an iPhone and Find My iPhone was enabled, put the device in Lost Mode. On a recent Android device with Find My Device enabled, secure the device and consider erasing it remotely. Take these operating-system actions before doing anything inside an app or browser.
Do not send a private message asking a stranger, social-media contact or unknown Telegram group to help you lock a lost phone. Fake recovery helpers are a known phishing channel.
Step 2 — Secure your email and payment accounts from another device
Your email inbox often holds casino sign-up confirmations, deposit receipts and password-reset links. Change the email password from a trusted device immediately, then check for a recent account-activity or sign-in log and end any sessions you do not recognise.
For any bank account, mobile-money wallet or card linked to the casino account, log in from a trusted device and:
- review the last 48 hours of transactions;
- if the app shows a freeze, temporary block or lost-card option, activate it until you are certain the phone is secure;
- contact the financial provider through its verified customer-care number if you see unauthorised activity.
Do not share full card numbers, PINs, complete account statements or one-time codes in any message, screenshot or support form while doing these checks.
Step 3 — End the casino account sessions
If the casino site or app has a "log out of all devices," "sign out everywhere" or "end all sessions" control, use it now from a trusted device. This control is often in account settings, security settings or password-change flows.
If you cannot find it, change the account password immediately. Most platforms automatically end other sessions when the password is changed. After changing the password and ending sessions, sign in only on the trusted device.
Do not reuse the old password. Do not keep using a password that was stored in the browser or app on the lost phone.
Lotwin's public website does not inspect app accounts, balances, bets or personal data. Its Website Terms state that app games and customer support are governed separately. Use the official support route inside the product itself for account-specific help; the public website contact is for Website matters only.
Step 4 — Save minimal evidence
Keep a private record of:
- the date, time and location where the phone was last seen or lost;
- the phone model, network, IMEI (usually printed on the retail box or available from the network provider);
- the police extract or incident diary number if you report the loss in Nigeria;
- a list of the accounts and payment methods that were accessible on the device;
- the date and time you contacted the network, changed passwords and ended sessions.
Preserve only what a legitimate insurer or law-enforcement officer would need. Do not send screenshots containing full card numbers, banking tokens, identity documents or one-time passwords to anyone claiming to help you recover access.
Step 5 — Recover account access safely
When you are ready to sign in again:
- use the official app or verified domain only;
- follow the account-recovery or password-reset flow that the operator publishes;
- verify that linked phone numbers, email addresses and payment methods still belong to you;
- review recent account activity for unauthorised transactions.
If the operator requires identity verification, use the route documented on its verified website or in-product support. For general guidance on sending verification documents safely, see our checklist on safe casino verification document upload.
If the operator does not publish a recovery flow or its support does not respond, contact them through a verified channel only — not a social-media comment, forwarded message or link sent after you posted about the loss.
Protecting your data under Nigerian law
The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDP Act) and its General Application and Implementation Directive 2025 require organisations that process your personal data to implement technical and organisational measures for security, confidentiality and integrity.
If you believe an operator has failed to protect your data after a lost-device exposure, or if it cannot prove that it ended your sessions when asked, you may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). The NDPC's complaint procedure is separate from the operator's own support process and does not promise a personal outcome, reimbursement or recovery.
